Just opened the 2006 Grange des Peres - incredible! This iconic wine is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Mourvedre - Deeper and darker than the lovely and elegant '05, this has aromas of dark fruits and spices. Firm, dense and solid on the palate with good grip, sandalwood scents - long and lingering in the finish - going to let it open up try it again in a few hours with roast loin of pork - can't wait!
